Recovered...now trying to start running again....intervals (obviously). They're good for fat burning as well as building up. Now hopefully if I stay on my meds next December I will run my 1st 1/2 marathon. Breathing is hard without taking the meds twice a day....Hopefully 10 lbs will fall off :-)! We will see....maybe 20 by the end of the year :-) Maybe...I can dream...

Explanations
It's been a while. I had a VERY bad asthma attack wich turned out to be bronchitis....so I missed the 1/2 marathon in December :-(. Then as I was getting back in the groove another weird things happened, but I've ben dealing with it and still running....and then I got sick and this time it was pneumonia :-(. the other weird thing has become worse...but it explains ALOT of weird symtoms :-). Hopefully within the next month it will be resolved...and I should automatically drop a few pounds when it is taken care of. Hopefully it is a no big deal (well day surgery) to take care of the issue...then I should be back up and running and planning for the 1/2 next December. I now take Advair & singulair for asthma...so that shouldn't effect me much anymore. YAY

Wednesday 10/1/08
We bought a double jogger and we ran outside for the 1st time as a family! I struggled through my 6.5 miles Monday, but I got it in finally. I realized I struggled so much, b/c I was running 100.4 temp. Tonight even with 100 temp we went for my 30-40 min run. It was good to be outside.
I plan to run my 3 days at least (1 long run 2 30-40 min runs atleast) plus I plan to walk atleast 4 miles everyday as well. I am VERY excited to have the freedom to get off the tredmill.
Yesterday was my crosstrain day, b/c I had the fever I just didn't have it in me to get on the tredmill....so I did a kick boxing video. WoW am I sore...even though it was actually easy. I guess it combined with the weights I've been doing made me sore.
I hope eventually all this work will pay off. I LOVE being "too thin." I feel safe there and I feel very thin is beautiful. Yes, some would think that is sick, but I definetly do not.
I probably will have to get very strict with my diet...October should be easier to do that. The husband will be gone the entire month including 2 weekends. Yes, he likes to eat and he always wants me to eat, too.

WOW it's been a while since I posted. My uncle died 2 days after that post, once we got through the funeral and all my daughter started preschool again. Then we went on a little trip. I have been running about 1 5miles a week, except the week we were on vacation. We walked SOOOO much that week that I think I was fine to skip running. I was also carrying 40 lbs of child atleast half the time I was walking on that vacation.
I realized Tonight I have 12 weeks to go until the 1/2 marathon and my training was supposed to be 17 weeks. I forgot to start official training! I have skipped 2 or 3 of the first weeks and I am skipping next weeks run, b/c it's very small. I am jumping to the 5 th week where my long run is 6.5. I ran 5.25 straight tonight, so surely somehow I can manage...even if I have to walk a bit.
I don't really know about my weight. I stopped weighing. It drives me CRAZY...so it is better that I watch what I eat, yet eat enough to be able to run...and hope when I finish I weigh less than 120. I bought a new running outfit tonight. The running skirt is an XS so hopefully something is working.
Tuesday I start running outside. I hope I can do it. I will be pushing a jogging stroller, too which will be challenging for me. My husband is convinced if I will press on and run with a jogging stroller when I run without I will be stronger. I think if I live through pushing the jogging stroller. I will only do it on cross train days or shorter runs.
That is the news.

New Shoes
I bought new shoes finally. They are the same ones I had (Mizuno), just the new style...so they look different. I LOVED the red Brooks, I was tempted...but I heard you should go wit the shoe you notice the least. That would be the Mizuno for sure. The red Brooks were so pretty. My Mizunos are light weight and offer good support...the husband likes them, too. My run today was hard. I have stomach issues today and so it was hard...plus I had to cook supper and sit with everyone while they ate. Family supper is important and I had planned to be finished before...but the whole stomach issues didn't help.
Last week I made it to 21 miles. Today I did 5.25, so I plan to make 21 miles again this week. Next week I will try to make 25 again. Hopefully new shoes will help the legs. My old ones were shot.
